1. Purpose of the service
Airsoft Defence provides a digital verification service to evidence eligibility to purchase RIFs (Replica Imitation Firearms). The service enables retailers and participants to verify relevant account status in a consistent and efficient manner, including player, store, and site account records where applicable.
By using this service, you acknowledge that the information provided constitutes a material representation regarding acquisition eligibility under applicable legislation and regulation governing RIF sales and ownership in the United Kingdom. The service is operated as an administrative system to support compliance with statutory obligations and regulatory requirements relating to RIF eligibility verification and record-keeping.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You are required to provide accurate, complete, truthful, and current account information during registration and throughout the duration of your account. You must maintain the accuracy and currency of all account data and promptly inform us of any material changes. Account access is strictly personal to you, and you shall be responsible and liable for all activity carried out through your account, whether authorised by you or not, including all modifications to profile data, submissions of attendance records, or other interactions with the service. Accounts may be used by one or more designated users within the account holder's organisation where roles and permissions are clearly defined; however, the account holder remains wholly responsible for the actions of all such users.
3. Compliance and lawful access
We may disclose or provide access to relevant information to law enforcement agencies and UK border agencies where required or permitted by applicable law. This includes responding to lawful requests, investigations, regulatory enquiries, and compliance checks relating to RIF eligibility and use. Where lawful and operationally appropriate, designated police users may be granted controlled access to relevant system functions and records for the purpose of verifying a user's eligibility to own or purchase a RIF. You acknowledge and consent to such access by law enforcement as a condition of use. We may also share information with other authorised government bodies, public authorities, and regulated entities where required for statutory compliance, safeguarding, or public safety purposes.
4. Verification and use
The service records attendance and validation events submitted by authorised sites and stores. Such information is used to determine eligibility status and provide evidence of active participation. In addition, for security, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes, the service maintains audit logs of access to and updates of user profile records by authorised users, including relevant timestamps and action details, across player, store, and site profiles. Such logs may be reviewed where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected unauthorised access, misuse, or breaches of these Terms. Audit logs are retained and may be disclosed to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required or permitted by law, and may be used as evidence in any investigation, enforcement action, or civil or criminal proceedings. You waive any claim of confidentiality or privilege regarding audit logs.
5. Site attendance logging obligations
Site account holders are responsible for recording player game attendance accurately and within a reasonable period following the relevant game date. Site account holders must not falsify, manipulate, or knowingly submit inaccurate attendance records. Where we reasonably determine that attendance records have been falsified or deliberately misreported, we may suspend or terminate the relevant account and take any further action permitted under these Terms or applicable law. Site account holders further warrant that they are responsible for verifying the identity and eligibility of players prior to recording attendance, and acknowledge that false attendance records may constitute fraud or misrepresentation. All attendance data submitted becomes part of an individual player's permanent eligibility record and may be relied upon by law enforcement, retailers, and other authorised parties. Site account holders indemnify and hold harmless the service operator from any claims arising from inaccurate or fraudulent attendance submissions.
6. Accuracy of records
You must review your profile information promptly and notify us without undue delay of any inaccuracy, omission, or material change to your profile. Eligibility determinations are made exclusively on the basis of information available in the service at the precise time a verification check is performed. We do not accept liability for eligibility determinations made on the basis of information which is subsequently corrected. Retailers and law enforcement users are entitled to rely upon information presented at the time of their enquiry, and neither you nor any service user may subsequently challenge the validity of a check completed in good faith on the basis of information then current in the service.
7. Prohibited use
You must not, directly or indirectly: (a) misrepresent or conspire to misrepresent your eligibility status or the status of any other person; (b) falsify, manipulate, or collude in the falsification of attendance or validation records; (c) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system function, or data; (d) conduct any form of reverse-engineering, automated data harvesting, or penetration testing; (e) use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable legislation; or (f) otherwise violate, abuse, or misuse the service. Any such conduct may result in immediate suspension, permanent termination of access, forfeiture of eligibility status, civil recovery proceedings, and referral to law enforcement, regulatory authorities, and other competent bodies. We reserve the right to pursue all available remedies, including damages, injunctive relief, and criminal prosecution where appropriate.
8. Reliance by users, stores, and sites
Users, retailers, stores, sites, police, and participants acting in a lawful capacity may rely on information presented by the service when conducting RIF eligibility checks, compliance-related validations, regulatory enquiries, or player-to-player sales. Such reliance is undertaken on the understanding that the information reflects records current in the service at the time of enquiry. You agree unconditionally to use the service honestly, lawfully, in good faith, and in accordance with all applicable law. You acknowledge that any reliance placed upon false or misleading information you provide constitutes a material breach of this agreement and will expose you to liability.
9. Service availability
We use reasonable commercial endeavours to maintain service availability and security; however, continuous or uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Access may be suspended, restricted, limited, or otherwise affected from time to time due to planned maintenance, essential security measures, technical failure, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from any such suspension, interruption, or limitation of service. You acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with digital systems and waive any claim in relation to service unavailability or data loss except to the extent such liability cannot be excluded by law.
10. Updates to these terms
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us and may be amended, updated, or replaced at any time at our sole discretion to reflect operational, legal, regulatory, or policy changes, evolving compliance requirements, or changes to service functionality. Material amendments will be communicated to you, and you may be required to affirmatively accept the revised Terms before further use of the service. Your continued use of the service following publication of amended Terms constitutes acceptance of those amendments. If you do not accept revised Terms, you must cease use of the service immediately. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without liability. These Terms, and any reference materials, policies, or other documents incorporated herein, shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
